Jockey Orlando Mojica, who is coming off a strong meet at Oaklawn, will be based this summer at Lone Star Park, said his agent, Bill Castle.
The start date for the postponed meet has not yet been announced. Horses began moving onto the backside Monday.
Mojica during Oaklawn regularly teamed with leading trainer Robertino Diodoro, who has a stable at Lone Star. The pair won 20 races together from 100 starts during the recent meet, according to records from Daily Racing Form. Their wins together included three stakes victories: Pioneer Spirit in a division of the Fifth Season, Special Relativity in the American Beauty and Sky Promise in the Temperence Hill.
Mojica overall won 37 races from 264 starts during the recent meet at Oaklawn to finish fifth in the standings, according to records from the track. Mojica had mount earnings of $1.6 million.
Mojica, who has won multiple titles at various tracks, is new to Lone Star. He is approaching 2,500 career Thoroughbred wins, with 2,475 through Friday, according to records from Daily Racing Form.
