Jettz finished fifth in the $891,900 Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Futurity on April 18 and will race for an even larger purse in the $1 million Ruidoso Futurity on June 7.
Saturday, Jettz was the fastest qualifier from 14 time trials for the Ruidoso Futurity at 350 yards, winning the second division in 17.818 seconds.
The five runners with the fastest times from Saturday's trials, regardless of finishing positions, qualified for the final, joining five runners from Friday's trials.
The other qualifiers from Saturday's races were Packsaddle Senator, who was second to Jettz and was timed in 17.85 seconds; and trial race winners Cyber Monday (18.00), Favorite Blue Girl (18.04) and KJ Daisy Duke (18.042).
KJ Daisy Duke won the final trial, bumping 12th race trial winner Steal the Candy (18.06) from a berth in the final.
Racing resumes at Ruidoso Downs on Sunday with the Ruidoso Derby trials. The final is on June 6.
