Fonner Park had a mandatory payout in the late pick five jackpot on its closing day card Wednesday and the fifty-cent bet returned $408.20. 

There was a carryover of $166,080 into the card. As of one minute to post for the first leg, the fifth race, the pool was listed at $1.7 million on the simulcast feed from Fonner. (UPDATE: The final pool was $2,250,403, according to the chart by Equibase.) 

The winners from the sequence in race order from the fifth to the ninth were Alex of Ice ($3); Judge on the Run ($2.80); Our Annabelle ($11.60), who was placed first following the disqualification of 3-1 Shimmering Dream; A Bunch for Lunch ($10.80) and Ebony Nights ($12.80).
