The 81 Beyer earned by Laura’s Light in the Grade 3 Honeymoon Stakes on Saturday at Santa Anita was the second-lowest figure for the Honeymoon in the 30 years Beyers have been published.
Laura’s Light ($6.60) defeated favorite Stela Star by a neck to win for the fourth time in six starts. Laura's LIght finished the mile and one-eighth turf race for 3-year-old fillies in 1:49.02; Croughavouke finished a neck back in third. Guitty, a supposedly “live” longshot, finished fifth; co-second choice Parkour, who opened a 10-length lead the first half-mile, finished seventh of eight.
