Lone Star Park, which temporarily suspended live racing after Sunday's first race due to an employee testing positive for the coronavirus, is awaiting test results from other individuals before announcing when the meet will resume. The Grand Prairie, Texas, track gave the following update on its website Wednesday:
"On Sunday, July 5, Lone Star Park officials stopped its live racing upon being notified that an employee involved in racing operations tested positive for COVID-19.
"Close contact tracing and quarantining procedures were executed immediately. Additionally, any individuals identified through close contact tracing have gone through testing. Once all test results have been received, we will announce when live racing will resume. We will share that information as it becomes available."
