Hastings-based (8) Sunburst looks tough in $40K Red Tail Landing for fillies and mares. The 6-furlong dash is the first stakes race of the 2020 meet.
Trained by Barbara Heads, Sunburst is making her first start as a 4-year-old and first away from Hastings. In her final race as a sophomore she was the runner-up finish behind Here's Hannah who was voted the champion older filly or mare in Canada last year.
She will break from the outside post in the 8-horse field with Rico Walcott riding. It goes as Race 8 with a 10:45 post time.
There are four scratches on the 9-race card that begins at 7:15 pm Mountain.
There is a $13,224 carryover in the Jackpot Hi 5 in the last race.
