Direct Dial rallies for Wayne Hanks Memorial Stakes win at Lone Star Park

Direct Dial, at 1-5, overcame a stumbled start to win the $75,000 Wayne Hanks Memorial Stakes on Wednesday at Lone Star Park. The race was the first of four restricted stakes on the card. Direct Dial rallied from off the pace to cover six and a half furlongs on a fast track in 1:17.44. The race was for 3-year-olds and up bred in Texas.
