Sleepy Eyes Todd, at 5-2, took the lead at the start of the Grade 2, $600,000 Charles Town Classic and never looked back for a clear win in the mile and an eighth race run around three turns. He covered the distance on a fast track in 1:50.82. The race was the richest of seven stakes on the card. The Grade 3, $200,000 Charles Town Oaks went to 9-1 shot Fly On Angel.
Carlos Delgado was aboard Sleepy Eyes Todd for Thumbs Up Racing and trainer Miguel Silva.
Plus Que Parfait was second in the Charles Town Classic.
