Happy Saver, at 1-5, earned a berth for next month's Preakness Stakes with his Monday win in the Federico Tesio Stakes at Laurel Park.
The horse is now undefeated in three starts.
Happy Saver tracked pacesetter Monday Morning Qb through fractions of 24.76 seconds for the opening quarter, a half-mile in 48.82 and six furlongs in 1:13.13. The eventual winner worked past the leader in the stretch and covered the mile and an eighth on a fast track in 1:49.15.
