Tatweej, who brought $2.5 million at auction, won his third consecutive race in Friday's featured eighth at Gulfstream Park. He's built is streak at the South Florida track, winning his maiden and a first-level allowance over the surface before his second-level allowance score Friday.
Tatweej ($4) was content to sit third in the one-turn mile feature, stalking fractions of 23.25 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.62 for the half-mile. Tatweej moved to the lead from there, and went on to cover the distance on a sloppy, sealed track in 1:36.20.
Edgard Zayas was aboard for Alshareef Hazzaa Shaker Alabdali and trainer Todd Pletcher.
Tatweej is a son of Tapit and the Grade 1-winning mare Tiz Miz Sue and as a yearlnig he sold for $2.5 million at Keeneland.
