Louisiana Downs will close out its meet Saturday with an 11-race card that has a special first post of 12:05 p.m. Central. The track had been set to wrap up its meet Wednesday, but inclement weather led to the cancellation of the card and those races - plus three lost Tuesday - were transferred to Saturday.

DRF Bets

Steve Asmussen leads both the owner and trainer standings into the final card of the meet. As an owner, Asmussen has won 19 races this meet, giving him a slight lead over Wayne T. Davis (17) and End Zone Athletics (16) into the final card Saturday, according to statistics posted by Equibase. As a trainer, Asmussen has won 41 races at the meet, while Karl Broberg ranks second with 37 wins. Joel Dominguez has won 70 races and has secured the title as he has a 30-win advantage in the standings at Louisiana Downs.
