Jockey Abel Cedillo was released from a Long Beach, Calif., hospital late Thursday afternoon after being unseated from his mount in the day's third race at Los Alamitos.
Cedillo plans to ride on Friday, according to his agent, Tom Knust. X-rays and an MRI showed no injury, Knust said.
"He was very lucky," Knust said.
Cedillo, the leading rider at the Del Mar autumn meeting that ended on Nov. 29, was unseated when Governance appeared to jump a shadow and lose stride. Cedillo appeared to be struck by a trailing horse. Cedillo complained of pain in an arm, knee and hip.
