The card features six stakes worth a total of $950,000, led by the Grade 3, $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic and Grade 3, $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup. First post is 1:45 p.m. Central. 

Sam Houston has added an early pick five to the card and it starts with the first race, said Frank Hopf, the track’s senior director of racing operations. He said if there is a carryover from the early pick five, it will carry over to the late pick five that starts in the sixth race Sunday.
