Senor Buscador worked at his Sam Houston Race Park base on Thursday morning for an intended start in the Risen Star at Fair Grounds, according to his trainer, Todd Fincher. The horse who has won both of his starts is coming off a victory in the $200,000 Springboard Mile at Remington Park.
Senor Buscador on Thursday went a half-mile in 48.20 on a track rated fast at Sam Houston.
"We worked a good half with a big gallop-out," said Fincher. "He worked good."
Fincher said provided the horse emerges from the drill in good order, plans are to head to New Orleans for the Risen Star.
