The Texas Thoroughbred Association announced Wednesday that there are more than 120 juveniles consigned to the Texas 2-year-olds in training sale set for April 7 at Lone Star Park. The under tack show will be held April 5. 

Lone Star co-sponsors the sale with the TTA.  

“After being forced to cancel last year’s 2-year-old [sale] due to COVID-19, we are very pleased to get back on track this year, especially with the excitement from the increased overnight purses in Texas and the strong stakes schedule coming up at Lone Star Park,” Tim Boyce, sales director, said in a press release.  

The following are some of the stallions with offspring in the sale, according to the TTA press release: 

"First-year sires Klimt, Practical Joke, Lord Nelson, Gormley and Midnight Storm lead a strong stallion list," the press release reads, "along with Texas freshman stallions Texas Chrome and Eagle. National and international sire power should be enticing to all buyers with Bernardini, California Chrome, Honor Code, Kitten’s Joy, Maclean’s Music, Malibu Moon and Street Sense among those represented. As usual, offspring of many of the Southwest’s top sires are in the sale, including Bradester, Custom for Carlos, Den’s Legacy, Half Ours, My Golden Song and Star Guitar."  

The catalog is scheduled to go out in the mail next week. Its mail out was delayed due to the winter storm system. Those interested can also find the catalog online now at www.ttasales.com.
