Empire of Gold, who in his last start ran fourth in the Breeders' Cup Sprint, is scheduled to make his seasonal debut in the Grade 3, $500,000 Count Fleet Sprint Handicap on April 10 at Oaklawn, trainer Terry Eoff said on Friday. The Count Fleet also is the target for the one-two finishers from last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint - Whitmore and C Z Rocket. 

Empire of Gold worked a half-mile Friday at Sam Houston and following the move Eoff said plans are to ship early in the week to Oaklawn. He said David Cabrera has the mount in the Count Fleet.
