Zaajel at 18-1 in Mother Goose on Saturday at Belmont Park

Zaajel, at 18-1, battled in the stretch and went on to win the Grade 2 Mother Goose on Saturday at Belmont Park. Always Carina won a photo for second over third-place finisher Clairiere, who appeared to stumble at the start of the race. The winner covered the mile and a sixteenth run at one turn in 1:42.83. The track was fast.
