Jockey Lane Luzzi sustained a small fracture in his clavicle in a Friday spill at Lone Star Park and is expected to be back up in three weeks, according to his agent, Bradley White.
White said no surgery is required.
Luzzi was thrown from his mount, Noble Egyptian, when that one fell a few strides into the third race. The horse returned to his feet.
Luzzi on Saturday morning remained at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. White said doctors want to monitor swelling.
Luzzi is the fourth-leading rider at Lone Star Park, which closes its meet July 11.
