Lone Star Park opens a 31-date meet for Quarter Horses on Friday night. The season will run through Dec. 17. First post nightly is 6:05 p.m. Central. Lone Star is racing Fridays and Saturdays, with some cards on Thursdays.
The card Friday night features trials for the Grade 2, $400,000 Dash For Cash Futurity, which will be held Oct. 1. Jes An Angel, the overall fastest qualifier for the All American Futurity, is in the third trial, with DRF entries for the Friday night card HERE.
Other major stakes this meet include the Grade 1, $1 million Texas Classic Futurity is set for Nov. 19. Trials for the race are Oct. 27. The Grade 1, $350,000 Texas Classic Derby also is Nov. 19.
The Grade 1, $100,000 Refrigerator Invitational Championship for 3-year-olds and up at 440 yards Nov. 26.
