Jockey David Cabrera, who won last season's title at Oaklawn Park, will beign workng horses at the Hot Springs, Ark., track on Wednesday, said his agent, Jose Santos Jr.
Santos said Cabrera will continue to ride at the current Remington Park meet in Oklahoma City and will work horses at Oaklawn on dark days. Remington has a special holiday schedule for the next few weeks, racing Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 26.
Santos also will have apprentice Rene Diaz at Oaklawn. He returns from injury Nov. 18 at Chruchill Downs.
Santos also represents jockey Reylu Gutierrez, who will winter at Fair Grounds but travel to Oaklawn for stakes mounts, largely for trainer John Ortiz, said Santos. Gutierrez recently traveled to New York and won a stakes at Aqueduct.
