Uni (4-5) took over from pace-setting Stallion Heiress in midstretch then outkicked her stablemate Fifty Five to win the $100,000 Plenty of Grace Stakes as trainer Chad Brown runners ran 1-2.
Uni was making her first start since she finished fourth in the QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland last Oct. 14. Irad Ortiz Jr. rode the winner.
Uni's final time of 1:33.42 is the fastest mile run over the Outer turf course, which only opened last fall.
This was the third Plenty of Grace victory for Uni. Brown also won this race in 2017 with Light in Paris and in 2016 with Mrs McDougal.
