Jockey Geovanni Franco swept the two stakes on Sunday, guiding Loving Lynda to a 6-1 upset in her stakes debut in the $200,000 Melair Stakes for 3-year-old California-bred fillies.
Loving Lynda ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:44.94 beating even-money favorite Spiced Perfection. One Fast Broad (9-1) finished third.
Loving Lynda had her third start in the Melair. Trained by Phil D'Amato for Darren and Jim Robbins, Loving Lynda won a maiden race for California-bred fillies and mares at 5 1-2 furlongs on April 28 in her second start.
