Seahenge, the Aidan O'Brien-trained 3-year-old will not run in the Belmont Stakes, according to Andrew Byrnes, the stakes coordinator for the New York Racing Associatoin.
Byrnes said he received an e-mail on Monday morning that Seahenge would not be shipping from Ireland though no reason was given. Seahenge had finished seventh in the Pat Day Mile.
Seahenge's defection comes one day after Bandua was officially declared from the Belmont Stakes, leaving a field of 10 for the 1 1-2-mile race when Justify will attempt to become the sport's 13th Triple Crown winner.
