He drew the rail in the 6 1/2 furlong dash for 3-year-olds, though, and he's picking up five pounds after edging Vicente's Shadow by a nose in the $50,000 Auburn. Trained by Frank Lucarelli, his only loss in five starts came going 1 1/16 miles in the Turf Paradise Derby.

There is just one scratch on the 10-race card that begins at 2:00 p.m. Pacific.
