I am very late to this due to the ship back downstate following the Travers, but it is just astonishing that the stewards at the same racetrack that yesterday decided to leave up Abel Tasman in the Personal Ensign after she clearly bumped Elate in deep stretch today decided to disqualify Dr. Edgar from first in Saratoga’s 6th race for barely coming out in the stretch run and clearly doing far less than what Abel Tasman did.
I had zero skin in this race. But it is still madderning to see such wild inconsistency from the stewards’s stand.
Then again, and not to engage in hyperbole, but anyone who has paid attention lately would probably agree with the impression that the only thing consistent out of the Saratoga stewards’s stand is the inconsistency.
