Lombo, the winner of the Grade 3 Robert Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita in February, won his first start since May, and first appearance for trainer Phil D'Amato in an allowance race with a $62,500 claiming option in Thursday's fourth race.
Lombo ($6.80) needed all of the 1,380-foot stretch to reach the front by a head over 5-1 Street Vision. Lombo was timed in 1:09.76.
Owned by Michael Lombardi, Lombo was sixth in the Grade 3 Pat Day Mile on a sloppy and sealed track at Churchill Downs on May 5 when trained by Mike Pender. Lombo was transferred to D'Amato in early summer.
