Midnight Bisou and Long Range Toddy, who are being pointed for stakes during the upcoming Racing Festival of the South at Oaklawn, both breezed Monday morning at the Hot Springs, Ark. track. The surface is fast on a sunny morning pushing 50 degrees.
Apple Blossom candidate Midnight Bisou worked first set under Ricardo Santana, Jr., going five-eighths in company in 1:01. Oaklawn clockers had her final quarter in 23.60 seconds and galloping out six furlongs in 1:13.20.
Arkansas Derby candidate Long Range Toddy also worked first set, going five-eighths in company in 1:00, with Oaklawn clockers getting his last quarter in 23 seconds and galloping out six furlongs in 1:12.80. Jon Court was aboard for the move Monday.
Both horses are trained by Steve Asmussen. Midnight Bisou is coming off a win in the Grade 2, $350,000 Azeri and Long Range Toddy, a win in the first division of the Grade 2, $750,000 Rebel. Both races were run at Oaklawn.
