Code of Honor, the Fountain of Youth winner and third-place finisher in the Florida Derby, was shipped to Keeneland from Payson Park earlier this week, trainer Shug McGaughey said Friday.
“I just want to get him to Kentucky, maybe a change in weather will jumpstart him some,” McGaughey said Friday from Florida. “It’ll be hot and humid down here. I just want to see if I can get him to go to the next level.”
Code of Honor will have at least one work at Keeneland before moving over to Churchill Downs if McGaughey and owner Will Farish decide to run him in the Kentucky Derby.
