She is the darling of show bettors. With 23 minues to post, Sircat Sally attracted $168,670 of the $171,364 bet to show - a figure that shrunk over the next three minutes.

Some of the money came off the board in consecutive minutes. Interestingly, in the next few flashes, the figures fell to $156,726 of $159,646 bet in the pool. Then, the figure diminished to $133,753 of the $136,821 in the pool. With 20 minutes to post, it was down to $127,060 of $130,356.

This is not unprecedented, but it is unsettling that so much money can appear in the board and then go missing.
