Private Prospect, who finished fourth, was claimed by Paulo Lobo. So Elite, who finished seventh in the field of eight, was claimed in a six-way shake by Michael Pender.

Tisdale, a 4-year-old gelding by Friesan Fire, has won 4 of 11 starts. He won a maiden race and an optional claimer in consecutive starts at Oaklawn Park in 2016 and won an optional claimer at Belterra Park on July 1. This was Tisdale's first start in California.
