Sunday Woodbine wrap

Trainer Kevin Attard hung it on trainer Roger Attfield twice this afternoon. Attard sent out the debuting 2yo Piven to win the sixth by a nose over front-running Wam Bam. Attfield also came out on the short end of a win photo when Melmich nailed Are You Kidding Me on the wire to land the G3 Seagram Cup.

Mr Havercamp, a very promising 3yo trained by Catherine Day Phillips, extended his unbeaten record to two races when romping in an N1X turf route, under a hand ride. The son of Court Vision was ridden by Eurico Da Silva, as was Melmich.

Silent Jimmie became yet another offspring of the popular Ontario sire Silent Name to take to the turf like a duck to water when he graduated convincingly in an open maiden special. His rider, Jessie Campbell, has been having new-found success for Jimmie's trainer, Paul Buttigieg.

Nobody won the Jackpot Hi 5 outright, and the carryover heading into Wednesday is $830K.

The handle was nearly $5.5 million.
