Vyjack was a game second to Blackjackcat (5) in the Wickerr Stakes on July 23, the first start of the year for Vyjack. Last year, Vyjack won 2 of 6 starts in a season highlighted by a win in the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile on turf at Santa Anita last October.

With 23 minutes to post, Vyjack is 4-1 in early betting. Om (2), who was second in the American Stakes at Santa Anita on July 4 in his first start of the year, is the 2-1 favorite.
