Saturday Woodbine recap

Nobody won the Jackpot Hi 5 outright, and the carryover heading into Sunday is $1,076,853.

However, there was a sole winner of the Pick 5, which returned a whopping $45K for 20 cents. The ticket was reportedly bought at Woodbine, and cost $60.

Ami's Mesa was a ridiculously easy winner of the G3 Seaway Stakes. She was one of four winners on the 11-race card for jockey Luis Contreras.

Journeyman Gary Boulanger doubled up, and apprentice Isabella Wenc looked good winning her first local race on the 16-1 outsider Tornado Cat.

Second-leading trainer Norm McKnight found the mark with the sharp comebacker Special Concoction and Golden Spear, who romped first-time off the claim. Trainer Josie Carroll doubled up with Ami's Mesa and Whatta Girl.

The nicely-bred debuter Wonder Gadot captured the allowance prep for the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes by four lengths under Patrick Husbands.

The handle was $5.94 million.
