With Rocco Bowen aboard, Exit City Slew took over the lead at the the half-mile and drew off to win the Washington Cup Race for Fillies and Mares. She paid $10.60 for her victory in the 1 1/16 miles race. Heavily favored Citizen Kitty rallied to finish second.
It was the third stakes win today for trainer Blaine Wright.
