Apprentice jockey Evin Roman won Wednesday's first race on Cute Knows Cute to win his 27th race of the summer meeting.

The win puts Roman one win behind Flavien Prat for the lead in the jockey standings. Prat is not riding on Wednesday, while serving the second day of a three-day suspension.

Roman has more chances for a winner on Wednesday. He rides Knowitallhousewife (3) in the third race for maiden claimers, and Candy Boss in the fourth race for sprinters in a starter allowance for his next two mounts.

Cute Knows Cute is trained by Peter Miller, who is now tied for second at the meeting with 13 wins with Richard Baltas and Doug O'Neill. Phil D'Amato leads all trainers with 15 wins.
