Del Mar: Richard Baltas now within one of leader Phil D'Amato

The race for the trainer's title may take until Monday's closing day to determine.

Trainer Richard Baltas won Wednesday's second race with Corps de Ballet for his 14th win of the meeting, one behind leader Phil D'Amato.

Their stables, as well as that of Doug O'Neill and Peter Miller, who have 13 wins each, figure to be active in coming days.

This afternoon, Baltas is done for the day, but D'Amato has yet to have any runners. In the fourth race, D'Amato runs the longshot Pomp and Party (4). He has a better chance in the fifth race with Candy Bark (5), who is a 7-2 shot on the morning-line.
