The old Mark Casse angle of backing the longer price of his two entrants clicked in the $104K Ontario Debutante Stakes, which was won by the debuting 5-1 shot Shamrock Rose. The favored Casse charge, Sly Roxy, faded to fourth after leading the way in the six-furlong dash for 2yo fillies. Shady Well stakes winner Glamanation ran second at 6-1 in the five-horse affair.
