Jockeys Israel Ocampo and Joe Talamo were taken to local hospitals on Thursday after being involved in a two-horse spill about 25 yards from the wire in Thursday's seventh race.
Initially, both jockeys were taken to first aid before the decision was made for them to undergo further evaluation.
Warrenscrystalized, ridden by Ocampo, suffered a leg injury to his left front and fell. Hawk's Journey, ridden by Talamo, was unable to avoid the accident and fell.
Ocampo was taken from the track on a stretcher with paramedics using full precautions by strapping the rider to the stretcher. Talamo was taken from the track on a stretcher while sitting up and talking with safety and security personnel.
