Chad Brown has the current favorite in the first division of the Tropical Park Oaks in DREAM AWHILE (3), but I don't think she has any real edge on any of the other fillies in this thirteen horse field. A legitimate case can be made for at least half of the three-year-old girls in this field, and I feel like these are the times to take shots with larger prices who may not be the most likely winners - simply because the race is wide-open.
On paper JAUNT (6) is hard to make a serious case for; she's 1-for-11 lifetime with a career best Beyer Speed Figure of 78 for Shug McGaughey, and she needed to ship to Tampa most recently to break her maiden. The field she beat on December 2 hasn't come back particularly strong, but sometimes a nice maiden score can wake horses up and make them realize what they're supposed to be doing. At odds of 14-1 in a race that looks like a scramble, she's worth a flier for me.
