Rymska, the morning-line favorite for the Grade 1 American Oaks on Saturday, was withdrawn from the $300,000 race for 3-year-old fillies because of lameness, trainer Chad Brown said.
In a text message, Brown wrote that Rymska was found to be lame on Saturday morning. "We are still in the process of identifying her problem," he wrote.
Rymska was unbeaten in three starts this year, including the Winter Memories Stakes at Aqueduct on Nov. 23.
Without Rymska, Daddys Lil Darling (4) is likely to inherit the role of favorite, although there will be strong support for the Brown-trained New Money Honey (9).
