The stewards will investigate a mix-up that caused them to scratch two horses out of Aqueduct's Saturday second race as the horses were walking onto the track.

Apparently, the horses It's Hot Out (#4) and Flipped (#6) had the incorrect trainers listed in the track program. Jeremiah Englehart was listed as the trainer of It's Hot Out but that horse is trained by his father Chris Englehart. Flipped is trained by Jeremiah Englehart but was listed in the program as being trained by Chris Englehart.

When the overnight came out on Monday, Chris Englehart was listed as the trainer of both horses. In the Daily Racing Form, It's Hot Out was listed as being trained by Jeremiah Englehart though previously trained by Chris Englehart. In DRF, Chris Englehart was listed as the trainer of Flipped.

The horses were walking onto the track when the stewards were notified about the mix-up. They opted to scratch the horses rather than allow them to run for purse money only because the information came so late and "in fairness to the rest of the field," said Steve Lewandowski, the state steward.

Lewandowski added; "This is an unacceptable practice ... someone will be held accountable."

The race ran with three horses after the early scratches of Lem Me Tel Ya, Threefortyfive and Connolly's Beads. Cain Is Abel won the race, running down 1-5 favorite Belleville Spring.
