Santa Anita: Apprentice Ceballos has Cal debut on Friday

Jockey Franklin Ceballos, who claims seven pounds as an apprentice, will have his first rides in California at Santa Anita on Friday.

Ceballos, 18, previously rode in Maryland. Friday, he is booked to ride Ocean Bound (7) in the fourth race, and Marvelous Max (2) in the seventh race. A native of Venezuela, Ceballos won 34 races in 2016.
