Ms Bad Behavior, fourth in the Desi Arnaz Stakes for 2yo fillies at Del Mar in November, fought off a sustained challenge from even-money favorite Out of The Flames to win an allowance race with a $75,000 claiming option for 3yo fillies on the hillside turf course in Friday's third race.
Ridden by Tiago Pereira, Ms Bad Behavior ($7.20) was always near the front. She was challenged by Out of The Flames as the field crossed from the hillside to the main turf course. The two made contact for a few strides before pulling clear of the their rivals.
Ms Bad Behavoir won by a neck, running about 6 1-2 furlongs in 1:12.97.
Trained by Richard Baltas for Greg Hall and Sayjay Racing LLC, Ms Bad Behavior has won 2 of 5 starts. By Blame, Ms Bad Behavior was bred in Ontario.
