Sam Houston racing secretary Matt Crawford on Tuesday had a working list of eight possible starters for the Grade 3, $400,000 Houston Ladies Classic. The mile and a sixteenth race for older fillies and mares will be held Sunday. 

Crawford said the race could draw Actress, Adore, Martini Glass, Princess of Spring, Proud and Fearless, Ready to Confess, Sandy's Surprise, Tiger Moth and Valadorna.

Actress is scheduled to fly in Friday, said Crawford, while Sandy's Surprise is set to fly in Wednesday, according to her trainer, Doug O'Neill. 

Entries for the Houston Ladies Classic will be taken on Wednesday. The race is the richest Thoroughbred offering in Texas and it will share a card with the Grade 3, $200,000 Connally Turf Cup.
