Sam Houston Race Park puts on its biggest program of the year Sunday afternoon with the running of the Grade 3, $400,000 Houston Ladies Classic and the Grade 3, $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup. The races lead a program of six stakes worth a cumulative $825,000. Sam Houston's main track is listed as muddy and the turf, good. 

In changes, the first and third races will be off the turf, but all stakes scheduled for the surface will remain on the grass, according to officials with Sam Houston. There are just two scratches to report from the stakes: in the Groovy, which goes as the fifth, take out Silver Luke Silver (5) and in the sixth race, the Frontier Utilities Turf Sprint, scratch Imma Bling (5).
