As we approach race 8 at Gulfstream, the Davona Dale Stakes on the main track, let's keep this in mind:
If the main track there was playing in favor of speed and inside runners earlier in the card - a big if, for sure, but there was still some sense it was - the last dirt race at Gulfstream went off at 12:36. That means there will be about 2 1/2 hours between main track races, which is an eternity in the world of track biases, and affords plenty of opportunity for Mother Nature and the track maintenance crew to even things up.
In other words, we might well be starting over when it comes to getting a read on today's Gulfstream main track. Let's see what happens.
