Loose, dropping back to level at which she won at last Nov. 15, was much the best taking the opener as the 6-5 favorite under Junior Alvarado for Rudy Rodriguez.

Curiousncuriouser is one to give another look to next time she runs. She was trying to rally along the rail under Rafael Hernandez, but the pace-setting Tiz Super, under Hector Diaz Jr., made sure no one was going to come up to her inside.

Hernandez had to wait until the sixteeth pole to get Curiousncuriouser off the rail. Once he did, Curiousnucuriouser showed some late interest to finish third behind Loose and Carry Your Heels, the latter having clear run on the outside.
