With steady rain for nearly 90 minutes, the track condition is now listed as wet-fast. 

The last three races on the program are a $12,500 claimer at 6 1-2 furlongs - with a post time at 4:36 p.m., Pacific  the $600,000 Santa Anita Handicap and a maiden race at 1 1-8 miles on dirt that was originally scheduled for turf before being transferred.

The wet conditions were widely forecast although there was hope at the beginning of the day that rain would not arrive until after the races end just before 6 p.m.
