Transgress, who had been pointed for the Grade 3, $800,000 Sunland Derby on March 25, will not run in the race, trainer D. Wayne Lukas said on Tuesday. The horse was second by a neck in an allowance last month at his base of Oaklawn. Lukas said plans are to be deternined for Transgress.
Sunland officials have a working list of 10-12 potential starters for the mile and an eighth Sunland Derby, which will share a card with the $200,000 Sunland Park Oaks.
