Goats Town ran one of the best races of his career Sunday at Oaklawn, where he captured an allowance route by four and three-quarter lengths over Colonelsdarktemper, the comebacking winner of last year's Grade 3 West Virginia Derby.
Goats Town, a son of Dublin who races for his breeder, Calumet Farm, is now being considered for the Grade 2, $750,000 Oaklawn Handicap, trainer D. Wayne Lukas said on Tuesday.
"I loved his race Sunday," Lukas said.
